Wylam Brewery in Palace of Arts - Photography Project
View West Photography has had the privilege to shoot Wylam Brewery at the Palace of Arts.
As well as being a hotel photographer View West Photography will work with all kinds of luxury property.
Although functioning as a working brewery, Wylam Brewery is so much more.
The Palace of Arts is a grade 2 listed building that operates as a multi-discipline arts and entertainment space.
This is the last remaining building from the 1929 North East Exhibition built to encourage craft, art and industry.
Designed by the architects W & TR Milburn who had substantial experience in the fields of theatre and cinema, the building was constructed in an Art Deco style, which sits proudly in the centre of Newcastle Exhibition Park.
As a building of such beauty and cultural significance, I wanted to keep the photography true to the architectural style, after taking a walk around the building and the space it sat in, my thought was rather than photographing a building but to create a wide landscape shot that happened to have the Palace of Arts within it.
The lake was a gift for the reflection in the photograph, as was the sunset that evening.
